Several weeks ago, we entered a contest that encouraged people to find ways to Unfuck It Up. Thanks to all of you who went and voted for us, we ended up not only winning the popular vote, but were the staff pick as well. So, go check out the post and thanks for helping us win! Now, let’s go see how much good we can do with your help!
Well, if you would like to see your company name and/or logo displayed several stories tall above Times Square, then drop us a line at ceo at cwtt dot org. We are up to something, something very special for Veteran’s Day and it will be taking place in New York at Times Square. Can’t say much more right now, but do let us know if you are interested.
If anyone has the basic sets of Rosetta Stone for French, German, and Russian, please consider donating them to us if you are finished with them. These are not an urgent need, but would help us.
Recently, the delightful Gina Elise made an introduction for Cooking with the Troops to the fine folks at Warrior Gateway. Through that, we learned about their Vets2Chefs program. They are looking for six veterans who are interested in the culinary arts to attend a very special culinary bootcamp conducted by Chef David James Robinson.
If you are a vet and interested, check it out and apply. It is an amazing opportunity, and if you are serious about a culinary/hospitality career, you need to check it out. Cooking with the Troops is pleased to be supporting this effort.
We are sad to learn of the passing of Cliff Robertson. When Cooking with the Troops was just getting started, he sent us a letter of support and encouragement. He displayed not only a great deal of talent as an actor, but class and honor in his life. He will be missed, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
A quick and easy one for you this morning. You can help Gina Elise win a contest, and in so doing support troops and veterans. Just go here and vote for her. This is getting down to the wire, and it is close. So, go expend about 2-3 mouse clicks to help Gina, Pin-Ups for Vets, and our veterans win.
Sorry for the delays in posting, but there is a LOT going on right now. Not the least of which is that we are delighted to welcome several new members to our Board of Directors and to our National Advisory Board. The full details are here, and we hope you will check them out and join us in welcoming them.
